- Counties Fight Effort to Remove State from Tribal Land Acquisition Process
RCRC, CSAC and the Urban Counties Caucus (UCC) have joined together in an effort to defeat Senate Bill 162 (Anderson R-San Diego), which was recently amended to ban the state from impeding a tribe’s ability to convert revenue-generating lands into tribal trust land if the application is for housing, environmental protection, or cultural preservation.

- Governor Brown Appoints Two to State Water Resources Control Board
Today Governor Brown announced two appointments to the State Water Resources Control Board, both of whom require Senate confirmation and each of whom will earn $128,109: 1) Felicia Marcus of Emeryville, has served as western director at the Natural Resources Defense Council since 2008 and was executive vice president and chief operating officer at the Trust for Public Land from 2001 to 2008.
